Affinity rider Patrick Kos and his recap of the Six Days of Berlin

From our Dutch rider Patrick Kos: Last week I rode the Six days of Berlin. An incredible experience what every American would love, 6 nights of great track racing, with world-class sprinters, madison racers and stayers. Every night the track was completely sold out with thousands of spectators watching the races. Myself, I rode the stayer races, six races over 20km in six nights.

With max speeds above 90 kph and the sounds of roaring engines it has a lot of similarities with Nascar racing. I rode with my dad, a former World Champion in this discipline, so he knows the best tactics and has loads of experience.

While last year I missed the European Championships, because I was racing in the States I couldn't defend my European title, I rode in Berlin as the Dutch Champion. With the new European Champion, the German, French and Czech champion and an American stayer, it was pretty obvious there were all the best stayers at the start. Here's some pics for you to see the action and crowds. Thanks Affinity for the support!

Thank you Patrick, another wicked jersey for the wall! More to come from Patrick and his experiences racing the madison on his Raw Kissena...
