Ash Wednesday: The road from Redhook BK 2016

Ash Wednesday: Another RHC in the books, more friends made, more experience gained, more mistakes to be learned from and another hard earned podium (with the help of my teammate @ksherwin01 ). There were lots of ups and downs this weekend but I want to learn from the bad, and focus on the good. Some things are unavoidable and I race this race is because it’s fun, unpredictable, extremely challenging - and unlike any race other race out there. The only thing I want to say to other riders is what @david_august_trimble has already said - Winning the crit is secondary… think before you do something that might cause a crash and ride within your abilities, we all want to arrive home in one piece. The crit takes skill, strength and experience. If this one didn’t work out for you, there will always be more races and more podiums to be had.

Thank you Jason for your continuous support, kind heart and good attitude. You rescued Kate and I from the hospital while dealing with all sorts of things. People like you are who I try to surround myself with. Sponsors included. So many people to thank. Special shout outs to Chuck from @girocycling for your continued support and emergency housing and Bobby from @endocustoms for getting the kits done so quickly. And @david_august_trimble and the @redhookcrit crew for putting on another spectacular event. 📷 @zhetrick
