This past Saturday was the first training camp for Kissena Royale. There a solid turnout and it was a perfect day to train. We split up into groups for the many different drills and sprints, and Andrew punished the groups with his workout. There was a good variety of talent ranging from first time track riders, to career cat 5's, to 4's and masters and 1's and 2's. Everyone trained hard and Andrew spent a surprising amount of time with everyone. At the end of the day, we had an exhibition scratch race with a $10.00 prim at lap 5, and the winners chose from shirts provided by MIghty Healthy. Overall it was a great start to the season and by the looks of it Kissena Royale is going to be a great series. Next week we'll have another training camp with racing starting on the 16th of April. This Saturday will be training with US Keirin legend Gil Hatton, a former Olympian and the first US racer to be invited to race the Keirin in Japan. Gil also coached Marty Nothstein to Olympic Gold in Sydney.
There will also be a roll out from the shop this Saturday at 11am for those interested in training or just come go for a fun ride. Registration for the event is at bikereg or you can register at the track the day of the event. Thanks to everyone who showed up and see you next week!
