Affinity Cycles is proud to launch the 2010 all new framesets and complete road and track bikes. Off to Tokyo... the 2099 Cycle Messenger world Championships (CMWC) in Tokyo and the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas marks the official premiere of our new collection! Affinity is also very proud to support CMWC Tokyo, so we donated six of the new Kissena frames to help fund the event. They can be purchased at W-Base here, be one of the first six to get a new kissena and help support CMWC!
Tokyo was insane, I wish I could have stayed longer. Affinity's own Alex Farioletti swept CMWC'S by winning the Gold Sprints, Street Sprints, and the Keirin race on his new Kissena Aero Track frameset. Three CMWC titles for Alex! Check out the pics below from Prolly, the CMWC 2009 flickr page and some pics I took. More Tokyo images to come. Big thanks to the CMWC organizers for a tremendous event, W-Base, Sada and Shiba park crew!
Hal holds it down in Tokyo.
Prolly wrecked his ankle on the first night, then broke the other ankle near the end of his trip. Damn that boy had fun!
Tak and Sada chilling.
Sexy Sushi rules.
Sino getting all the press... Still recovering from his injury, the 2008 CMWC Champ got 2nd place in this years alleycat. well done. Congrats to Juri for the big win!
So just as the events at CMWC were getting underway, I had to split for Interbike. 100% bitter sweet. Thanks to W-base, Sada, Tak and the CMWC organizers for a great time in Tokyo!
Interbike here we go... flash forward (with no jet lag of course) from Tokyo to Vegas... Interbike 2009!
New to our line up is the "Metro" a steep classic track frame with a chrome lugged Affinity Fork. 74/75 degree angles, it's a clean classic style track frame with a fully chromed lugged Affinity fork.
The "212" is 4130 lugged road frame. Is fully chrome plated and custom painted in traditional road style.Chrome head tube lugs, chainstay and dropouts with midnight blue metallic over paint. Second color option is pearl white with chrome fork. Full builds with Tiagra at $1,100 available in January 2010, frame and forks will be part of the pre order ready to ship by December 15th.
Custom Affinity scripting by tattoo artist John Reardon to compliment the sick paint and chrome!
The "Cyclone" fixed frame brings a bmx style with track geometry. Old school A frame head tube gusset for bar spins and an S bent seat tube makes a 74/75 degree track geometry giving it a fast, twitchy track bike feel but offers trick frame options. A uni crown fork with unique tapers and butting to save weight. Double butted top and down tube. The result is a strong but light weight fixed trick frame.
The new Kissena frame launch sports its newly crowned stars and stripes Affinity X Mishak Jersey courtesy of Andrew Lacorte. Congratulations to Andrew for his US National Sprint victory at the 2009 Masters Nationals!
Check out the frame section for better photos, the frames are candy clear gloss, they look transparent exposing the raw metal.
Too much to post and I still need recovery, part three soon... check back by friday.
